An overview of the skills, techniques and formats to be used when writing for Film. Looking at how screenwriting differs from most other forms and the writers role in the overall process of filmmaking.
Ian will look at the ways in which screenwriting differs from other formats and the structures that have evolved over the past 100 years of filmmaking. He will provide a step by step look at screenplay formatting and suggest some options to achieve this to enable the creative process to flow, without the constrictions of formatting on the fly.
Finally Ian will briefly look at some of the options available to those who wish to get their screenplays into production.
